Before founding Klugman Commercial Properties in July of 2001, Fred Klugman held the position of Executive Vice President of PROQUEST Commercial Property Management and was responsible for directing the day to day operations of the Company’s brokerage activities division. Mr. Klugman’s daily duties included the supervision and active participation in the marketing of properties for lease or sale, as well as representing tenants and purchasers.

Mr. Klugman has spent 26 years in the field of commercial brokerage primarily involved in the leasing and sales of office properties. Prior to joining PROQUEST, his experience included four years with Cushman & Wakefield from 1980 to 1984, five years with the Hayman Company form 1984 to 1989, then nine years with DMR Commercial Real Estate Services as Senior Vice President and Director of its Brokerage Services Division.

Mr. Klugman has leased several million square feet of office space over his career, most of which has been located in Detroit’s Central Business District. Mr. Klugman, widely recognized as the premier office broker in the city of Detroit, has also been responsible for the acquisition and/or disposition of numerous metropolitan Detroit office properties.

Mr. Klugman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from California State University in Fullerton in 1972. Additional education includes numerous postgraduate courses in various aspects of real estate, including law, appraisal, finance, etc., as well as attendance at numerous seminars and symposia on a regular basis. Mr. Klugman also holds an Associate Broker license and a Broker License in the State of Michigan.
