David Simmonds - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

David Simmonds, was a senior vice president with the Austin Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group from 2000-2008. Simmonds specialized in retail project representation in the greater Austin area. Prior to joining The Weitzman Group, he was a retail brokerage specialist with Lynx Property Services and a property manager for United Commercial Realty.

Simmonds had been consistently honored by The Weitzman Group for outstanding production. Simmonds was the statewide top producer for Weitzman for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and the No. 1 producer for the Austin office every year since 2003. He has received the statewide award for Most Leases every year from 2002 to 2007 and the statewide award for Most Signs on Properties every year from 2003 to 2007. He was named statewide Rookie of the Year for Weitzman in 2000. In addition, the Austin Business Journal consistently ranks him as one of the top producing commercial real estate brokers in the market, including a ranking as the No. 1 Heavy Hitter in the Austin market for 2002 and 2005, and the No. 2 Heavy Hitter for 2006.

During his tenure at Weitzman- Simmonds was directly and indirectly involved in the closing of over 1,100 deals in 8.5 years!

Simmonds is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
