Cliff Cutler has been a professional in the commercial real estate business since 1980.

His diverse experience commenced as a leasing and sales agent with Lupton Enterprises, a pioneer developer of the then “out in the boondocks” Scottsdale Airpark. In 1983 , after leasing 100% of Lupton’s new projects and now doing business as Clifford J. Cutler, Ltd., Cliff made two significant future shaping moves. First, he became the broker for Bob Nuttall’s Sun Construction and Development Company on behalf of which he leased and sold more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse, industrial, and office space in just four years; and second, Cliff used one of his commissions to purchase two lots at Golden Key Plaza, thus signaling his entry into the market as a property owning principal. Within one year of his first purchase, Cliff traded the lots for an empty building at 519 West Lone Cactus, assumed what others might have considered a daunting mortgage on the property, and single-handedly proceeded to fill and then sell it in short order.

Cliff consolidated his status as a principal by purchasing, among other locations, 21613-21619 North Second Avenue, 525 South Hayden, 2141 South Industrial Park, and West Park Industrial Plaza. By 1985, Cliff built up 2,000,000 square feet of listings (1720 West Broadway Road, 1720 West Broadway Road (Land), Mesa, 2844 West Deer Valley Road, Phoenix, 4451 East Oak, Phoenix, 4800 North 22nd Street, Phoenix, Green Gables Office Complex, 2345 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, 7575 East Redfield Road, Scottsdale, 7625 East Redfield Road, Scottsdale, 2525 West Greenway Road, Phoenix, 2150 East Highland Avenue, Phoenix, 7835 East Redfield Road, Scottsdale, 15230 North 75th Street, Scottsdale). In 1986, Cliff added a mortgage broker’s license to his arsenal of client oriented weapons, thus turning Clifford J. Cutler, Ltd. into a full service real estate company.
Among Cliff’s most memorable brokerage achievements are the three-development-deal that he negotiated between Sun Construction and Matthew C. Strauss using only a napkin as a contract, and the 130,000 square feet lease of a Johnson Wax family owned building to Walsh America PMSI, which was Maricopa County’s largest deal of 1992. Cliff is also justifiably proud of his track record as a developer, which includes the construction of a many industrial, medical and office buildings.

In 1985, Clifford J. Cutler, Ltd. became Cutler Commercial, and relocated to its current headquarters at 2150 East Highland Avenue in the heart of the Camelback Corridor. Today, Cliff has over twenty years of experience in the local, and national real estate market as a broker and a principal under his belt, as he leads eleven agents and a highly experience team of property managers into the new millennium. Time and success have not slowed him down, and as the managing partner of several property holding consortia he continues to build his development and ownership portfolio conservatively and with considerable equity. Currently, Cliff is very active in the Scottsdale Airpark, which brings him full circle to his roots as a greenhorn leasing agent.

For Cliff, many old-fashioned mottoes that might seem little more than hackneyed clichés to others still hold true, as Cliff leaves no stone unturned in trying and trying again to satisfy Cutler Commercials customers. Cliff firmly believes that his expansive track record as a principal and his superhuman commitment to hard work under gird the firm’s successful completion of hundreds of transactions annually.
