Charles Robinson - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Charles Robinson, a Principal Owner with Property Managers and Carruthers Real Estate Company, has a diverse background. He graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1993 with a B.S. in Natural Resources. He then served in the U.S. Peace Corps for over two years in Niger, West Africa working in woodless construction and agro-forestry. Charles later earned a Master of Forestry degree from Duke University in 1998. For the next several years, Charles worked as a Registered Forester with Forest Resource Consultants in southern Mississippi, where he assisted in the management of over 60,000 acres of investor-owned timberland located in southern Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. His responsibilities included managing large-scale timber sales and inventories while meeting financial goals of the investor. After moving home to Birmingham, he joined Altec Industries, a world leader in electric utility equipment, where he quadrupled the Federal Government business as a National Account Manager. Lastly, and in pursuit of his dream of being a business owner, he partnered with Tom Carruthers in 2007 and acquired Property Managers where he is the President.
