Barry M Martin - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Barry Martin has been active in the commercial real estate market in the Colorado Springs area for approximately twenty-five years. In addition to being active in real estate brokerage he has also been active in construction management and the development of commercial properties.

Barry has owned and operated two real estate firms AMERICAN INVESTMENT REALTORS (a general brokerage firm selling residential and commercial properties) and JENKINS AND MARTIN MANAGEMENT CORP. (a brokerage firm specializing in commercial/industrial real estate) since acquiring his license in 1971. Barry began acquiring real estate for his own account and for various partnerships in 1972. Acting as an agent and as an owner, he has acquired, developed, and managed commercial properties throughout the region since that time.

Barry is a Realtor and from THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS has been awarded the following professional designations:

CERTIFIED COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT MEMBER, (CCIM). This is a designation that is awarded based on demonstrated transactions and the successful completion of a prescribed course of study of commercial taxation, finance, marketing, and property analysis. Barry has held this designation since February 1980.

CERTIFIED PROPERTY MANAGER, (CPM). This designation is awarded for the successful completion of required courses, testing and experience. Barry's field specialization was commercial/industrial real estate. He has held this designation since June 1983.

Barry has been also awarded EXCHANGER OF THE YEAR by the PIKES PEAK ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS and has served as chairman of the Colorado Springs Exchangers. He is a past chairman of REALTORS COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY and has held most of the offices of that organization.
